Growing Joy 2025

The Growing Joy Organization strives to create moments of joy for our elderly community members and more.

Based in Baton Rouge, La we are dedicated to creating a moment of joy for senior citizens and other cherished members of the community such as first responders and more. We are recycling old books, expired calendars and more into handcrafted greeting cards and other tokens of affection that are delivered to this population to convey the message “we appreciate you.” Growing Joy starts by reducing items to the landfill, expands during the crafter’s experience of creative fun and fellowship and blossoms most when recipients unexpectedly receive the message “we are thinking of you.”

Founded in 2025 and growing from 1 to ∞
